Job Description

PURPOSE
This exciting opportunity exists in Fraser Alexander Zambia to ensure that engineering resources are effectively utilised to maintain the plant as planned.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Coordinator

• Liaise with Engineering and Production staff.
• Evaluate condition monitoring status.
• Issue work schedules and job cards.
• Ensure proper maintenance planning.
• Issue requisitions for spares as required.

Managing the Team

• Select and appoint competent and passionate team members.
• Assign work tasks.
• Monitor performance and maintain discipline.
• Train and develop team members.

Health and Safety

• Maintain Fraser Alexander’s safety policy and procedure requirements.
• Promote safety performance.
• Conduct risk assessments.
• Perform planned task observations.
• Conduct safety meetings.
• Ensure team members wear appropriate PPE.
• Investigate incidents and accidents.

Administration

• Maintain a filing system for job cards.
• Prepare standby lists.
• Compile weekly artisan utilisation reports.
• Prepare reports (daily/weekly/monthly).
• Control costs.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Craft Certificate or BSc in Mechanical Engineering.
• Grade Twelve (12) School Certificate.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Valid EIZ Membership.

EXPERIENCE

• 5 years experience in Maintenance/ Engineering in the Mining/Construction/Transport/Plant Hire or Manufacturing sector within the Mining Industry.
