Job Description
PURPOSE
This exciting opportunity exists in Fraser Alexander Zambia to ensure that engineering resources are effectively utilised to maintain the plant as planned.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Coordinator
- Liaise with Engineering and Production staff.
- Evaluate condition monitoring status.
- Issue work schedules and job cards.
- Ensure proper maintenance planning.
- Issue requisitions for spares as required.
Managing the Team
- Select and appoint competent and passionate team members.
- Assign work tasks.
- Monitor performance and maintain discipline.
- Train and develop team members.
Health and Safety
- Maintain Fraser Alexander’s safety policy and procedure requirements.
- Promote safety performance.
- Conduct risk assessments.
- Perform planned task observations.
- Conduct safety meetings.
- Ensure team members wear appropriate PPE.
- Investigate incidents and accidents.
Administration
- Maintain a filing system for job cards.
- Prepare standby lists.
- Compile weekly artisan utilisation reports.
- Prepare reports (daily/weekly/monthly).
- Control costs.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Craft Certificate or BSc in Mechanical Engineering.
- Grade Twelve (12) School Certificate.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Valid EIZ Membership.
EXPERIENCE
- 5 years experience in Maintenance/ Engineering in the Mining/Construction/Transport/Plant Hire or Manufacturing sector within the Mining Industry.
