Job Description

Requirements:

Experience: At least 5 years of proven experience in security operations or a similar supervisory role.
Education: Minimum of a Grade twelve (12) certificate. Additional certifications in security management or related fields are an added advantage.

Knowledge:

Strong understanding of security protocols, emergency response procedures, and relevant regulations.

Skills:

Excellent leadership and team management skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities.
Ability to work under pressure and make quick decisions in emergencies.
Physical Fitness: Physically fit and capable of working long hours or on a rotating shift.
Background Check: Must have a clean criminal record and provide references.
Availability: Willingness to work weekends, holidays, and overtime as required.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Supervision and Leadership:
Lead and manage a team of security officers to ensure the safety and security of the premises.
Assign tasks and oversee daily operations to ensure compliance with security procedures.
Incident Management:
Respond promptly to security breaches, emergencies, and alarms.
Prepare detailed reports on incidents and liaise with law enforcement when necessary.
Monitoring and Patrolling:
Oversee regular patrols of the premises to prevent unauthorized access, theft and other security concerns.
Training and Development:
Conduct regular training sessions for security personnel on safety protocols and procedures.
Evaluate staff performance and recommend improvements or additional training.
Access Control:
Ensure only authorized personnel have access to restricted areas.
Maintain accurate records of visitors, contractors, and deliveries.
Policy Enforcement:
Enforce company security policies and procedures among staff and visitors.
Risk Assessment:
Identify vulnerabilities in the premises and recommend improvements to enhance security measures.
