As the Rolling Stock controller, primary responsibility is to oversee and manage stock levels across various production sections. It involves collaborating closely with the stores department to prevent overstocking and ensure a seamless supply of production inputs.
As a production controller, I coordinate with various departments, such as engineering, purchasing, accounting, and sales, to ensure that all materials, equipment, and personnel are available for production. I also monitor the progress of production orders, troubleshoot any issues that may arise, and prepare reports on the status and performance of production.
Oversees the life cycle of production assets, such as machines, equipment, and materials, in a way that maximizes their performance, efficiency, and profitability. As an asset optimization engineer, I monitored the condition and operation of the production assets and recommended corrective actions or preventive maintenance when needed, including developing and implementing strategies to optimize the utilization, availability, and reliability of the production assets. I also reviewed and updated policies and procedures related to asset management and optimization. It involved research and analysis of relevant market trends and customer demands and identification of opportunities for improvement or innovation. It required collaboration with other departments, such as engineering, finance, quality, and sales, to ensure the alignment of asset optimization goals and objectives. You will also prepare and present reports on the status and performance of the production assets, including any risks, issues, or challenges that may affect them. You will also maintain accurate records and documentation of the production assets using software tools such as ERP systems or Excel spreadsheets.
