The position was responsible for resource and reserve growth in a predictable and sustainable manner through establishing a resource assessment, identification and conversion program for the Gypsum Project. Drive the pre-feasibility and feasibility work. Developing and recommending strategies and budgets for land acquisitions
Responsibilities include: Development of geological models and interpretations Construction of block models for mineral resource and mineral reserve estimates Participation in the preparation of Technical Reports for public disclosure (JORG and international equivalents) Performance of due diligence reviews to support project financing, and mergers and acquisitions.
Key Responsibilities include, Overseeing advanced stage exploration activities, including delineation drilling and metallurgical studies, detailed mapping and surface exploration programs. Improving the geologic understanding of the deposit through 3D geologic interpretation of the deposit. Monitoring drill contractor performance and logistics support. QA/QC for all geologic and mineralogical logging, and monitoring lab accuracy and precision Budgeting and cost controls
The duties included: Leading mining and Resource development geology activities Maintenance of mineral resource models Management of grade control systems Participate in mine planning and Mineral resources management systems. Performance management of stuff. Supervising collection, interpretation ad management of geological data.
Reporting directly to the Country Manager, key responsibilities include; Drawing up schedules and plans of the drilling programme to ensure project meets the end date deadline. Plan and Direct Geologists in core logging, sampling, filed mapping, geophysical surveying, soil/rock sampling. Liaise with external contractors such as drilling contractors, auditors and resource consultants. Ensure that safety procedures are adhered to at all time according to safety protocols. Manage and control resources, compile and managed budget, perform administration duties, develop and performance manage staff.
Datamine (Studio 3) block Model and geology model generation Conducted grade control of open pit mine including blasthole cuttings logging, working faces and blast pattern mapping, sampling of blast holes and stock piles.
