Job Description
Reporting to the Assistant Accountant, the incumbent will be responsible for providing administrative support to the Accounts Receivable unit by handling various tasks, including data capture, account reconciliations, answering and directing phone calls, maintaining files, managing schedules and appointments, and assisting with tasks as needed.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Organize and maintain files and records, both physical and electronic and ensuring that filing of documents is timely and properly done.
- Assist in reconciling customer accounts and ensuring that the accounts are up-to-date in the System and that funds owed to the company are timely followed up as required.
- Assist in capturing daily transactions into Pastel accounting system.
- Assist with the preparation of reports, presentations, and other documents as needed.
- Manage incoming and outgoing document/ mail and email correspondence.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
- Diploma in accounting, ZICA Technician or equivalent
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Must be a member of ZICA
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Experience in an administrative support role is desirable
