Allterrain Services Group-Zambia, Africa’s leading facilities service provider is looking for dynamic and self-motivated Zambian with proven performance to fill the existing vacant positions at Kalumbila project as listed below;

ACCOUNTS SUPERVISOR X 01

PURPOSE: Your Primary operational duty is to support your Project accountant in overseeing ATS Camp and ensure it meets its operational targets in relation to operational performance targets, revenue, cost control and profitability.

QUALIFICATIONS AND PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES

Minimum of a ZICA/CIMA/ACCA Level II diploma in finance with at least 2 years’ experience in a similar field

  • A good understanding of our business
  • Working experience in a commercial environment
  • Good appreciation of tax and other statutory requirements
  • Spreadsheet and Accounting software familiarization
  • Demonstrable ability in Admin and Logistics support
  • Can do spirit and result orientation
  • Ability to use vested authority to ensure respect and produce results
  • Track record of consistent competence and integrity
  • Some experience in a catering or mining environment
  • Logical reasoning and problem-solving skills
  • Team player, loyalty and sincerity to the business
  • Independent worker with little need for supervision

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
The Accounts Supervisor will have the responsibility to assist the Project Accountant in taking accountability for managing the financial matters in the Project; this includes but is not limited to the following areas:

  • Collecting various accounting data to prepare and analyze financial income and other accounting statements and reports.
  • Maintaining general accounting systems for use by management in controlling expenditure and ensuring compliance with tax laws.
  • Enforcing company policy/procedures on accounting standards and procedures to ensure uniform accounting practices, adequate internal controls, and compliance with orders or regulations issued by government agencies.
  • Enforcing all procedures defining the manner in which financial accounting transactions are to be recorded and reported.
  • Maintaining surveillance over the accounting systems employed in the company and initiates changes for approval as necessary.
  • Providing functional direction, coordination and advice to area administration managers in their accounting activities:
    • Cost accounting
    • General accounting
    • Billing procedures
    • General office management
  • Liaising with department heads, area managers, and others in operating management on accounting matters and an interpretation and use of related reports.
  • Ensuring sound financial record keeping as well as development and maintenance of financial systems and procedures.
  • Advising Management on and implements all financial policies and procedures.
  • Establishing and maintaining appropriate internal control systems to safeguard the organization’s assets.
  • Preparing monthly accounts (balance sheet and income statements).
  • Collecting financial data from units-month end credit
  • Capturing sales/revenue to derive turnover for each month.
  • Ensuring that various expenditure is captured into accounting and in the period
  • Balancing all accounts including stocks and cash control accounts, pre-payment accounts, accruals, inter-company accounts etc.
  • Reconciling various creditors (suppliers) and debtors (clients) accounts.
  • Checking payment and capturing them into MYOB accounts.
  • Analyzing various units’ income statements balance sheet and combined income statement.

Data Clerk X1

PURPOSE: You will report directly to the Materials Manger who are in charge of Materials control, you will be responsible for making sure that all company materials are safeguarded and taken good care of, and you will be involved in providing information on stocking levels in the project as well as undertaking data capturing activities in the warehouse.

QUALIFICATIONS AND PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES

Must have a minimum of a Certificate in IT/Stock management or its equivalent with 1-year practical experience working in the stores.

  • Have knowledge of ordering, receiving, storing and issuing procedures
  • Creative, self-motivated, proactive and confident
  • Creative with ideas in stock controls
  • Able to work with other staff from other Departments, as well as the clients
  • Knowledge of food cost control principles
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Be physically fit and be able to pass pre-employment and medical examinations
  • Ability to listen and learn skills required in performing storekeeping duties

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for monitoring stock ordering, checking stock levels and anticipating client needs by way of forecasting which should be discussed with the project manager
  • Responsible to keep reporting and daily data input up to date. Ensuring that costing is available to the project manager at 10 am every day
  • Responsible for keeping MATS 1-10 files up to date and presenting it to project manager daily for checking and signing off.
  • Responsible for sending weekly reports to project manager and head office.
  • Responsible for communicating between materials department and F&B heads of departments as well as project manager on issues concerning stock and daily operations
  • Ensure that the stores are always kept neat and tidy.
  • Ensure that the operation is well always stocked with the required items.
  • Ensure that all stores are packed according to ISO principles.
  • Ensure that daily sales accounts are balanced and presented to the Project Manager at the end of each shift.
  • You must follow all company procedures regarding ordering, receiving, storing and issuing.
  • You will always wear your PPE & uniforms.
  • To be pro –active in all aspects of operational safety and encourage teamwork within the department.
