Zambia Centre for Accountancy Studies (ZCAS) was enacted through an Act of Parliament (ZCAS Act No. 1 of 1989) for the purpose of training accountants, promoting research and advancement of learning in accountancy, finance, and related studies, providing advisory and consultancy services, and for related matters.
ZCAS seeks to recruit qualified and experienced persons to fill the position of Assistant Examinations Officer.
JOB PURPOSE:
Reporting to the Examinations Officer, the position is responsible for for coordinating with faculty, students, and external examination bodies to manage logistics, maintain records, and provide support in the preparation, invigilation, and processing of examination results.
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1.Participates in preparation of examination timetable in coordination with academic departments.
2. Communicates examination dates and venues to students, faculty, and invigilators.
3. Participate in collecting and securing examination scripts after each examination session where applicable.
4. Maintains accurate records of examination papers and student submissions.
5. Participates in coordinating the recruitment and scheduling of invigilators for examinations.
6. Provides support to invigilators before, during, and after examinations to ensure the smooth running of each examination session.
7. Participates in invigilation of examinations.
8. Participates in the processing and recording of examination results in the institution’s database system.
9. Prepares transcripts, grade reports, and certificates under the supervision of the Examinations Officer.
10. Ensures that all examinations are conducted in compliance with institutional and regulatory body standards.
11. Participates in maintaining records of examination policies, updates, and any procedural changes.
12. Maintains an up-to-date and organized filing system for all examination-related documents and correspondence.
13. Participates in preparation of reports and documentation related to examinations and assessments.
14. Performs any other duties lawfully assigned by the supervisor from time to time.
QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:
1. Grade 12 Certificate with a minimum of five (5) “O” levels including English and Mathematics.
2. Diploma in Business Administration or related field
3. Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field is an added advantage
4. One (1) year relevant work experience in examination management, preferably in a learning institution.
5. Must be Computer literate.
