Tyre-King, a leading automobile tyre retailer, is looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Branch Manager to manage branch operations to support overall company operations and growth.

Position: Branch Manager – Full Time

PURPOSE OF THE JOB:
The Branch Manager is responsible for overseeing the overall operations of the branch, ensuring sales growth, high-quality service delivery, customer satisfaction, and compliance with safety and regulatory standards. With the expansion of services beyond tyres, batteries, and alignment to include shocks, brake pads, diagnostics, windscreen repair, and aircon gassing; the Branch Manager will play a key role in driving the successful implementation and performance of these new offerings.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Sales & Business Growth

  • Achieve sales targets for tyres, batteries, alignment, and newly introduced services.
  • Implement sales strategies in collaboration with the head office, with input on promotions and pricing.
  • Monitor sales performance and identify areas for growth and improvement.
  • Support the team in upselling and cross-selling products and services.

Operational & Service Delivery Management

  • Ensure smooth daily operations across all service areas, maintaining high service quality.
  • Supervise workshop activities, ensuring efficient workflow and effective use of resources.
  • Work closely with the Assistant Branch Manager and Workshop Supervisor to optimize productivity.
  • Monitor service times and implement improvements to reduce delays and enhance efficiency.

Customer Service & Issue Resolution

  • Ensure an excellent customer experience by upholding high service standards.
  • Address and resolve customer complaints, escalating major issues as needed.
  • Implement customer feedback mechanisms to improve service delivery.
  • Maintain positive relationships with clients and ensure loyalty-building initiatives are executed

Staff Management & Training

  • Lead, motivate, and manage branch staff, ensuring high levels of engagement and performance.
  • Identify training needs for cross-training existing staff and onboarding new hires.
  • Work with HR and training teams to ensure staff competency in all service areas.
  • Conduct performance reviews and provide coaching to enhance employee productivity.

Compliance & Safety

  • Ensure full compliance with occupational health and safety regulations, including the proper handling of tools, diagnostic equipment, and aircon gas
  • Conduct safety briefings and audits to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Ensure all staff follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and regulatory guidelines.
  • Work with the Workshop Supervisor to maintain quality control standards for service delivery.

Financial & Administrative Oversight

  • Monitor branch revenue, profitability, and cost control (excluding procurement and stores management).
  • Ensure accurate record-keeping for sales, service reports, and compliance documentation.
  • Submit periodic performance reports to senior management.

Stakeholder Collaboration

  • Work closely with the Commercial and Retail Managers to align business objectives.
  • Coordinate with the Stores Manager to ensure smooth stock management and availability of parts.
  • Liaise with marketing teams to execute branch-level promotions and campaigns.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

  • Diploma or Degree in Business Management, Automotive Engineering or similar field.
  • 3+ years of experience in a managerial role within the automotive, retail, or Auto service industry.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to manage, motivate and develop a team.
  • Experience in sales and customer relationship management.
  • Knowledge of automotive services, including tyres, alignment, brakes, diagnostics, and mechanical systems, is an advantage.
  • Understanding of compliance and safety regulations in automotive workshops.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Strong financial and budgeting knowledge.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks, prioritize, and meet deadlines.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and basic accounting or point-of-sale systems.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends if necessary.
