We are looking to recruit a BTL Marketing Assistant to join the team.

BTL in sales stands for Below the Line marketing or advertising. It refers to promotional activities that are more direct and targeted to specific audiences, as opposed to Above the Line (ATL) marketing, which focuses on mass media and broad reach.

Based in Lusaka, Zambia the successful candidate will be reporting to the Marketing Manager and will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating the marketing activites as approved by management, including Sales Promotions, Event Marketing, Trade Shows and other marketing related activities. The BTL Marketing Assistant will monitor and control marketing activities to determine which activities yield the best results, assist in data analytics, use CRM platforms and maintain standards.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Execute Marketing Activation plans.
  • Using brand-specific activity briefs, help the brand team to fine tune activity plans.
  • Coordinate and Plan to execute, monitor and report on the marketing activities.
  • Liaise with key stakeholders and sales team for execution of branding, sampling, and tie-up plans as required.
  • Communication/reporting with all internal and external stakeholders for marketing plans.
  • Merchandising Management including recruitment of merchandisers.
  • Development of reporting plans & conduct training of merchandisers.
  • Monitoring merchandisers, conduct regular reviews and resolution of any merchandising issues.

Requirements

You need to have:

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in marketing.
  • Valid Drivers license
  • Experience in CRM platforms an added advantage.
  • Strong knowledge of a merchandising set up.
  • Able to work on own initiative and has a creative mind.
  • Strong organizational skills.

Hours of work: 48 hours minimum with travel when required.
