Saint Esther Christian School was established with the aim of providing quality education services to the people of Zambia. The school aims to complement the efforts of the Government of the Republic of Zambia by increasing access to education facilities, providing employment opportunities and contributing to the socio-economic development of the country. In order to fulfill our vision, we are looking for dedicated and passionate teachers to join the school.
Early Childhood Care and Development Education
- Position 3: (Baby Class Teacher, Middle Class Teacher and Reception Class Teacher)
Key Responsibility
- Lesson Planning: Create fun, age-appropriate lessons that meet the needs of different learning styles and abilities
- Teaching: Instruct students using a variety of different materials and play-based exploration to support Pre-reading, pre-writing, pre-math, and pre-science, expressive arts, health, safety & nutrition subjects
- Assessment: Evaluate student progress and adjust teaching methods as needed
- Classroom Management: Maintain a safe, healthy, and respectful learning environment
- Student Support: Provide individual support to students and promote their social, emotional, intellectual, physical, moral & spiritual development
- Communication: Collaborate with parents, administrators, and other teachers to provide a holistic learning experience
- Parent-Teacher Meetings: Meet with parents to provide feedback on their children’s progress
- Extracurricular Activities: Participate in school events and extracurricular activities
- Curriculum Delivery: Ensure students are effectively learning the approved curriculum
- Policy Implementation: Implement and maintain all school’s policies relating to discipline and behavior of both teachers and pupils
Qualifications and Experience:
- Diploma/Degree in Early Childhood Education from a well-recognized College/ institution
- Teaching Certificate
- Registered member of Teacher Council of Zambia
- Specialized and experienced in Baby, Middle and Reception Class
- Minimal of Two (2) years teaching experience (preferably in a similar age group)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment
- Commitment to ongoing professional development
- Ability to handle special education needs is an added advantage.
- A reference letter from church
