Location: Okavango Foods Limited, Lusaka, Zambia

Are you passionate about exceptional service and hospitality? Okavango Foods Limited, a leader in the food service industry, is seeking an experienced and dynamic Head Waiter to oversee and elevate our waiting service for outside catering operations.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and supervise the waiting team to ensure outstanding service delivery during outside catering events.
Coordinate table setups, ensure proper food presentation, and maintain high service standards.
Serve as the primary point of contact for clients during events, ensuring their needs are met promptly and professionally.
Train, mentor, and motivate the waiting staff to deliver consistent and exceptional guest experiences.
Oversee event timelines, ensuring seamless coordination between the kitchen, service staff, and clients.
Handle guest inquiries, complaints, and feedback efficiently, ensuring client satisfaction.
Ensure adherence to food safety and hygiene standards at all times.
Assist in the planning and execution of outside catering events to align with company standards and client expectations.

Requirements

Minimum of 3 years of experience as a waiter, preferably in banquet or outside catering services.
Proven experience in a leadership or supervisory role in a hospitality setting.
Strong organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple events.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to remain calm and composed under pressure.
Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards.
A proactive and customer-focused approach to service delivery.

Important Information

This position requires working on weekends, public holidays, and late hours.
