Job Description
JOB SUMMARY
Junior Legal Counsel based in Zambia on a one-year fixed-term contract, with the possibility of a permanent role based on performance.
Provide legal support primarily for CST bid contracts across the region.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Contract Management
- Draft, review, and negotiate CST-related contracts across the region.
2. Legal Advisory:
- Flag potential legal issues in CST bid contracts and propose solutions.
COMPETENCIES
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- High attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor of Laws (LLB) or equivalent from a recognized institution.
- Admission to the Bar in Zambia. Membership to the Law Association of Zambia
- 2-4 years of relevant legal experience in contract management, corporate law, or commercial law.
- Experience working with international companies is a plus.
