Position Overview
- We are looking for three (3) dynamic and goal-oriented Loan Officers to join our Chingola team.
- The Loan Officers will play a pivotal role in driving customer acquisition, managing loan portfolios, and ensuring the financial health of the branch through effective credit risk assessment and client relationship management.
Key Responsibilities
- Loan Origination & Assessment
- Identify potential clients and conduct thorough needs analysis to recommend suitable loan products.
- Evaluate loan applications by assessing the client’s creditworthiness through financial analysis, collateral evaluation, and background checks.
- Prepare detailed loan proposals for approval in line with MFS Credit policies.
- Portfolio Management
- Manage and monitor an assigned loan portfolio to ensure timely repayments.
- Proactively address loan delinquencies by developing and implementing recovery strategies.
- Maintain up-to-date and accurate records of all client interactions and transactions.
- Business Development
- Actively promote MFS Credit’s products and services to grow the client base.
- Build and maintain relationships with individuals, SMEs, and community stakeholders to generate referrals.
- Develop innovative strategies to increase market penetration and achieve sales targets.
- Risk Management & Compliance
- Ensure adherence to internal credit policies and regulatory requirements throughout the lending process.
- Identify and mitigate risks associated with loan issuance and repayment.
- Report and escalate risk issues to the Branch Manager as needed.
- Customer Relationship Management
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries, resolving complaints, and offering financial guidance.
- Conduct follow-ups and maintain open communication with clients to foster trust and loyalty.
Qualifications & Skills Required
- Diploma or Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in microfinance, credit management, or banking.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess credit risks effectively.
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets in financial services.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- High level of integrity, professionalism, and attention to detail.
