EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY- MANAGING DIRECTOR- MOBILE MONEY
Our client, a well-established telecommunication company, is currently seeking to fill the Managing Director- Mobile Money position. The successful candidates will play a crucial role in driving the company towards its strategic objectives. The position will report to the Chief Executive Officer

JOB PURPOSE
The role is responsible for defining and implementing the Mobile Financial Services strategic and financial objectives by leading and driving operational performance to meet customer needs and the overall Mobile Money strategy.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develops a mobile money strategy and business plan including constructing and maintaining the critical Eco- Money systems, in line with the agreed mobile business plan.
  • Monitors the activities of the Department budget and takes corrective action as necessary.
  • Plans, directs, and coordinates all mobile money sales to meet set revenue targets.
  • Oversees, tracks, and makes timely recommendations to ensure the operation achieves the agreed Mobile Money Annual Operating plan KPI’s and objectives.
  • Provides recommendations based on understanding of competitor offerings as well as global best practices including but not limited to banks, MFI, and institution activities and technological advancements to ensure competitiveness and growth.
  • Ensures efficient and effective Mobile Money distribution channels are developed in order to have mobile services available to customers in the trade.
  • Develops and implements financial and mobile money ecosystem through strategic partnerships.
  • Ensures all Mobile Money Business operations are in line with defined business processes as well as legal, banking and regulatory requirements
  • Ensures weekly/monthly/quarterly reports are prepared showing the progress of the Mobile Money operations for information and Management decisions.
  • Drives a culture that guides and directs best practices, fostering an environment of continuous learning, improvement, and cohesiveness.
  • Monitors and reviews the performance of team members to ensure that they meet their performance objectives.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Grade 12 Certificate with credits in English and Mathematics and any other three subjects
  • Degree in Business Administration, Marketing or a related discipline
  • MBA will be desirable
  • Minimum 8 years of working experience preferably in telecoms/FMCG industry
  • Member of the Zambia Institute of Marketing with a valid Practicing Certificate
