1. Job Title: Group Accountant
Reports to: Financial Controller
Job Summary:
- We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Group Accountant to join our finance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and overseeing the financial activities of the hotel, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timeliness.
Qualifications:
- Grade 12 Certificate with a minimum of five Credits, including mathematics, English, and Science.
- Diploma in Accounts.
- Professional qualification in ZICA, CA, or equivalent as an added advantage.
- Membership with Zambia Institute for Chartered Accountants (ZICA).
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
- Prepare financial reports, business activity reports, and financial forecasts.
- Ensure that the organisation’s financial records and record-keeping methods are in compliance.
- Periodically review the organisation’s financial reports and identify opportunities for cost reduction.
- Analyse data and advise top management on how to maximize profits.
- Analyse market trends and identify opportunities for cost reduction.
- Oversee the organisation’s investments.
- Responsible for bank reconciliation.
- Ensure accuracy, compliance, and timeliness of financial transactions and reports.
- Analyze financial data and provide insights to management to inform business decisions.
Experience and Additional Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of relevant working experience, preferably in the hospitality industry.
- Experience with Microfinance will be an added advantage.
- Highly analytical and attention to detail.
- Excellent skills in MS Office.
- Commitment, highly motivated, and ethical.
2. Job Title: Food and Beverage Supervisor/Purchasing Officer
Job Type: 1-year Contract
Job Summary:
- We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Food and Beverage Supervisor/Purchasing Officer to oversee the food and beverage operations and purchasing functions of the hotel. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring excellent customer service, maintaining high-quality food and beverage standards, and managing purchasing operations efficiently.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise food and beverage operations, including restaurants, bars, and room service.
- Ensure excellent customer service and maintain high-quality food and beverage standards.
- Manage purchasing operations, including sourcing, ordering, and receiving supplies.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and control stock levels.
- Develop and implement cost-saving initiatives and menus.
- Train and supervise food and beverage staff.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements:
- Grade 12 certificate.
- Certificate in Food and Beverages or a related field.
- At least 2 years of experience in the hospitality industry, preferably in a supervisory role.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong leadership and management skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Basic computer skills and knowledge of inventory management software.
3. Job Title: Chef
Reports to: Food and Beverage Manager
Job Summary:
- We are seeking an experienced and skilled Chef to lead our kitchen team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of food preparation, presentation, and service, ensuring that our guests receive exceptional culinary experiences.
Qualifications:
- Grade 12 certificate.
- Diploma in Food Production or any related course.
- At least 3 years of experience as an Executive Chef or Sous Chef in a reputable hotel or restaurant.
- Proven track record of culinary excellence and innovation.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensuring that all food preparation and presentation meet the highest standards.
- Develop and implement new menus and recipes, ensuring that they are innovative, delicious, and profitable.
- Oversee food safety and hygiene practices, ensuring that all kitchen staff adhere to strict standards.
- Manage kitchen inventory, ordering supplies and ingredients as needed.
- Collaborate with the Food and Beverage Manager to develop and implement food and beverage promotions and events.
- Train and develop kitchen staff, ensuring that they have the skills and knowledge needed to excel in their roles.
4. Job Title: Front Office and Housekeeping Controller
Job Type: Full-time
Job Summary:
- We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Front Office and Housekeeping Controller to oversee the front office and housekeeping operations of the hotel. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring excellent customer service, maintaining high-quality front office and housekeeping standards, and managing front office and housekeeping operations efficiently.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise front office and housekeeping staff.
- Ensure excellent customer service and maintain high-quality front office and housekeeping standards.
- Manage front office and housekeeping operations, including check-in/check-out, room assignments, and housekeeping services.
- Maintain accurate records and reports, including front office and housekeeping statistics.
- Develop and implement cost-saving initiatives and procedures.
- Train and supervise front office and housekeeping staff.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements:
