Rockview University is a Private University and based on the Higher education sub-framework of the Zambia Qualifications Framework (ZQF). Rockview University has been classified as a ZQF 10 institution.
Rockview University offers education, agricultural sciences, business studies and health sciences at 10 Miles, Ndola, Chipata and Ndola Campuses.
The University also has self-contained boarding houses with modern facilities such as internet connectivity via Wi-Fi and are convenient for the academic life of our students.
In this view, Rockview University is looking for mature, proactive, highly motivated and result oriented Zambians to fill the following positions:
1. Position: Lecturer for Business Administration and Human Resource Management
Qualifications:
- Master of Business Administration (MBA) or equivalent in a related field.
- Age: 25 – 45 years.
- A minimum of 2 years of lecturing or relevant industry experience.
- Proficiency in teaching subjects related to Business Administration, Human Resource Management, Organizational Behavior, and Strategic Management.
- PhD in a relevant discipline (preferred but not mandatory).
- Experience in curriculum development and academic research is an added advantage.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to mentor students and facilitate real-world case study discussions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Delivering high-quality lectures and seminars in Business Administration and Human Resource Management.
- Conducting assessments and examinations.
- Providing academic guidance and mentorship to students.
- Participating in curriculum development and improvement activities.
- Engaging in research and contributing to the academic community through publications.
- Contributing to the overall development of the university’s Business Faculty.
2. Position: Lecturer for Public Administration
Qualifications:
- Master’s Degree in Public Administration or related field.
- Age: 25 – 45 years.
- At least 2 years of lecturing or industry experience in the public sector.
- Strong knowledge of governance, public policy, public finance, and ethics in public administration.
- PhD in a relevant discipline (preferred but not mandatory).
- Familiarity with online teaching platforms and digital tools for education.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teaching courses in Public Administration, Public Policy, and Governance.
- Supervising student projects and theses.
- Conducting research and publishing scholarly work in the field of public administration.
- Actively contributing to departmental meetings and curriculum planning.
- Advising students on academic and career-related matters.
- Engaging with the broader academic and public sector community through research and collaborations.
3. Position: Plumber
Qualifications:
- Certificate/Diploma in Plumbing or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.
- Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in plumbing, maintenance, and repair work.
- Knowledge of local plumbing regulations and codes.
- Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams and plans.
- Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Good physical stamina and the ability to work under pressure.
- Certification in health and safety procedures is a plus.
Key Responsibilities:
- Installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing systems across the university.
- Diagnosing and troubleshooting plumbing issues in residential and academic buildings.
- Conducting regular inspections and preventive maintenance to ensure optimal performance.
- Coordinating with other maintenance staff to resolve plumbing-related issues.
- Ensuring compliance with safety regulations and codes.
- Providing reports and feedback to the facilities management team
