Job Description

Our Client a fast growing fashion retail industry is looking for a Retail Operations Supervisor to join their dynamic team within the retail industry. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of their retail locations. This position involves overseeing staff, managing inventory, ensuring customer satisfaction, and implementing best practices to improve store performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure that the daily work plan is set out you by the country manager.
  • Ensure the staff are present at all stores by checking in on individual store managers.
  • Random checks for employee reporting times.
  • Weekly summary of employee attendance and adherence to dress code.
  • Biometric reports to be reported timely to the country manager/ Finance manager.
  • Ensure that the Standard operating procedures of store openings and closings as given to you by the country manager are adhered to by all store managers and assistant store managers.
  • Report stock requirements per store and ensure the country manager is aware of the needs.
  • Align with marketing teams to ensure all promotional programs are adhered to per store.
  • Report to the country manager of any instances of expiry of statutory licenses per store.
  • Ensure that all fire fighting equipment is within the time frame for refill per store.
  • Ensure that the store manager timeously informs on the WhatsApp groups as set out any event of operations failure to the IT equipment or any fitting/ stock damages/ expiries etc.
  • Be present at random stock takes to be assigned by the country manager per store.
  • Do random stock checks during store visits on high value items first per store and report immediately on any differences.

Desired Skills, Qualifications and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in Business Administration or related field is preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in retail management or supervisory roles.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and retail management software.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as needed.
  • Strong customer service focus and a friendly attitude.
  • Should have access to a personal vehicle.
