Job Description
The incumbent will be responsible for effectively managing and driving the sales and marketing functions of the company, ensuring the achievement of revenue targets and market growth.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Strategic Planning: Develop and implement comprehensive sales and marketing strategies aligned with the company’s overall business objectives.
- Market Research: Conduct ongoing market research to identify new opportunities, analyze competitor activities, and understand customer needs and preferences.
- Sales Team Management: Recruit, train, and lead a high-performing sales team to achieve sales quotas and maximize revenue.
- Product Marketing: Develop and execute product marketing plans, including pricing, positioning, and promotion strategies.
- Brand Management: Strengthen and protect the company’s brand identity through effective marketing campaigns and customer engagement initiatives.
- Sales Channel Management: Manage and optimize sales channels, including direct sales, distributors, and retailers.
- Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers to drive repeat business and referrals.
- Performance Analysis: Track and analyze sales performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and optimize sales efforts.
- Budget Management: Prepare and manage the sales and marketing budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
- Grade 12 Certificate
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in sales and marketing management roles, preferably in the food industry.
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving market growth.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficient in using CRM software and other relevant tools.
- Strong understanding of marketing principles and techniques
