Job Description
Job Purpose:
To supervise the survey team and ensure accurate and precise measurement of stockpile volume for the month end reconciliation.
Duties:
- Designing, planning and ensuring safety of all the mine activities.
- Conducting daily pit stockpile surveys for accurate monthly volume calculation.
- Stake out development designs in a timely manner.
- Stake out all Production Designs in a timely manner.
- Training and development of subordinates.
- Updating Temporal benchmarks on mining levels and damp sites.
- Monitoring and maintaining survey equipment, ensuring their proper functionality.
- Implementing safety procedures and regulations related to surveying activities.
- Any other task as directed by the supervisor.
Skills & qualifications:
- Degree or Diploma in Surveying, Geomatics, or a related field.
- Registered with the Engineering Institution of Zambia.
- Mine Surveyor’s Certificate of Competency (MSCC).
- Must have at least 2+ years mine experience at management level
- Proficiency in surveying instruments and software such as total stations, GPS, and GIS.
- Exposure to mine software including Surpac will be highly regarded.
