Job Summary:
The Senior Sales and Operations Officer will be responsible for managing and driving the sales of centre pivot and irrigation systems, along with their spare parts. This role includes developing sales strategies, managing customer relationships, overseeing operational processes, and ensuring customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sales, operations, and technical knowledge of irrigation systems and their components.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales Management:
- Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve sales targets for centre pivot, irrigation systems, and spare parts.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities and maintain relationships with existing clients.
- Conduct market research to identify potential clients and market trends.
- Prepare and deliver sales presentations and proposals to prospective clients.
- Negotiate contracts and close sales deals to meet revenue targets.
- Monitor sales performance and provide regular reports to management.
- Must be able to do invoicing using ERP
Customer Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships.
- Address customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly and effectively.
- Conduct site visits to understand customer needs and provide appropriate solutions.
- Provide technical support and training to customers on the use of irrigation systems.
Operations Management:
- Oversee the procurement and inventory management of irrigation systems and spare parts.
- Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of products and manage stock levels.
- Ensure compliance with all safety and operational standards.
- Optimize operational processes to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
- Collaborate with the technical team to ensure the proper installation and maintenance of systems.
Team Leadership:
- Lead, mentor, and train the sales and operations team.
- Set performance goals and conduct regular performance evaluations.
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in agriculture, Business Administration, or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in sales and operations, preferably in the irrigation industry.
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets and managing operations effectively.
- Strong technical knowledge of centre pivot and irrigation systems.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in using CRM software and MS Office Suite.
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel as needed.
