Training Manager to manage a Driving School
Job Purpose
The purpose of a Training Manager is to design, implement, and oversee effective training programs that ensure instructors are equipped with the skills and knowledge to deliver high-quality driving education. This role involves maintaining compliance with regulatory standards, developing curriculum, monitoring training effectiveness, and fostering a culture of safety and continuous improvement among staff and students.
Technical Skills
1. In-depth knowledge of road traffic regulations, RTSA requirements, and driver training best practices.
2. Proficiency in managing budgeting and financial planning.
3. Familiarity with ISO standards on road safety and quality management is a plus.

1. Exceptional leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
2. Strong communication and interpersonal skills for engaging with stakeholders and staff.
3. Ability to thrive in a high-pressure environment and meet deadlines.
Qualifications
Educational Qualifications
1. Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Transportation, Education, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
2. A certificate or diploma in Driving School Management, Road Transport and Safety, or a related discipline.
Professional Experience
1. Minimum 5 years of experience in a management role within the transport, driving school, or education sectors.
2. Experience in implementing safety-training programs (e.g., defensive driving) and managing compliance with RTSA standards.
3. Proven record of accomplishment in operations management, staff leadership, and client engagement.
Professional Membership
Must be a registered member of the Chartered Institute of Transport and Logistics (CILT).
Additional Requirements
1. Valid Driver’s License (preferably with a defensive driving certification).
2. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and management tools.
3. Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends, if necessary.
