Internship Opportunity: Loan Credit Officer – Lusaka Based
Attention recent graduates in Lusaka! We’re offering an internship position as a Loan Credit Officer within our Operations and Credit department.
RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Ensuring all required loan documentation is complete, accurate, and compliant with regulatory requirements.
- Monitoring the performance of existing loans by reviewing repayment schedules, tracking payment status, and identifying potential delinquencies or defaults.
- Building and maintaining positive relationships with borrowers, providing assistance as needed, and addressing any issues or concerns promptly and professionally.
- Contacting debtors to discuss their payment status.
- Negotiating payoff deadlines or payment plans.
- Developing strategies to recover overdue payments effectively.
REQUIREMENTS AND SKILLS :
- Recent graduate with a degree in any business-related field.
- Ability to thrive in a target-oriented environment with stringent deadlines.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications and database usage.
- Demonstrated capability to maintain politeness and empathy while ensuring confidence.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
- Enthusiastic self-starter with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Attention to detail and adeptness in listening.
- Basic understanding of financial analysis concepts.
- Commitment to honesty and integrity.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
