Role Summary:
Join BPTN in Lusaka as a Market Researcher focused on User Insights to drive innovation and user-centric development in our tech recruitment platform. This role involves the strategic use of insight communities to gather critical data, helping shape the future of recruitment technology by aligning product features with user needs. You will also collaborate with our marketing team to ensure that insights inform marketing strategies and communications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and Manage Insight Communities: Develop and maintain insight communities to gather ongoing user feedback. Engage users in discussions to extract valuable insights for product and marketing use.
  • Data Collection and Analysis: Utilize surveys, focus groups, and one-on-one interviews to collect user data. Analyze and interpret results to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
  • Reporting and Recommendation: Generate comprehensive reports that provide insights into user behaviors and preferences, delivering actionable recommendations to product and marketing teams.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Partner with product managers, UX designers, developers, and marketing teams to translate user feedback into effective features and campaigns.
  • Trend Monitoring: Stay updated on the latest trends in tech recruitment and user research to keep our platform competitive and user-friendly.
  • Feedback Loop: Establish a feedback loop with the community to discuss how their input has influenced product changes and marketing messages.
  • Marketing Collaboration: Work directly with the marketing department to refine messaging and positioning based on user insights, ensuring that all communications resonate with target audiences.

Experience and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field. A Master’s degree is preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in market research or a similar role, with significant exposure to insight communities.
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in both qualitative and quantitative research methodologies.
    Experience in the tech industry, particularly in a recruitment or HR platform, is highly desirable.
  • Fluency in English is mandatory, with exceptional communication, presentation, and report-writing skills.
    Project management prowess, capable of managing multiple projects with diverse teams.
  • Technical proficiency with data analysis software (SPSS or R preferred) and visualization tools.
